Erinn Johnson, North Plainfield Middle School English Teacher, has been selected as a 2026 Institute for Teachers of Color (ITOC) Fellow. ITOC is a nationally recognized, ongoing professional development fellowship designed to support the well-being, racial literacy, and racial justice leadership of teachers of Color working in K–12 public schools that serve students of Color.

According to preliminary results, the North Plainfield community has voted in favor of the school bond referendum, a $34 million investment in critical upgrades and renovations across the district — at no additional tax impact for residents.

On Tuesday, September 16, our Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) cadets welcomed Rear Admiral Matthew Pottenburgh, Commander of Naval Service Training Command, during his visit to NJROTC units in New Jersey and New York.
